Well, we did bring a regular kite, but didn't use it :-)
And there's no windsurfing going on, but there's regular surfing. Lots of local guys are into that, especially close to sundown the waves get big...
The sea can get quite rough though, actually somebody drowned there last week. The red flag was up, which means: dangerous and no supervision whatsoever, so swimming can be risky, especially with the strong currents around those rocks.
In places like Penang (west coast) there's more options for recreation at sea... this part of the east coast isn't very touristy...
I see there big beach! You could try something like landkiting with landboard or even buggy-car!:) I want to try landkiting this summer! We dont't have see but we have endless steppes! :) Hope it will be fun! I also recommend you to try it! ;) You have good opportunity there! ;)
